Technique Tuesday – Ring Muscle Up Transition Drill

There’s a LOT of people out there that want to get a muscle up.

It is after all, one of the most common of movements that people request assistance with.

Because who doesn’t want to be able to crank out a muscle up?

Getting from below the ring to above or taking your body from below a bar to above it is pretty damn cool.

And if you can already get some, why not be able to do some more right?

For today’s *Technique Tuesday*, I’ve got a solid muscle up drill I like to use with my athletes to help them get the transition over the rings down.

I feel this is the toughest part of the muscle up.

When you can feel what it’s like to sit up over the rings, mentally it helps and I’ve often times seen an athlete get their first muscle up after hitting this drill.

So, go ahead and give this one try.

And let me know how it goes.Do sets of 3-5 reps at a time focusing in QUALITY, not quantity.
