Patrick Curtis

PC Head ShotPatrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown,  Maryland. After Patrick graduated, he moved to Chicago and started doing CrossFit in 2008. He was  immediately hooked, completed his level 1 CrossFit certification in 2009 and has been coaching ever  since.

His experience in gymnastics, powerlifting, and Olympic weightlifting has given him a great base of  knowledge that has become a powerful tool in the development of the athletes that have trained under  him.

Patrick competed in the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Open Sectionals where he finished 62nd out of 3000 competitors and he also was a member of the 2011 CrossFit 847 Regional team which finished 16 out of 30 teams in the North Central Region. Patrick was the 2011 Illinois State Champion Olympic Weightlifter at the 69 kg class. He also finished 2nd in his weight class in the summer 2010 at the Windy City CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting meet and in November 2010 when Patrick competed in the Mid-West Weightlifting Championship. He won his weight class at the 2010 Windy City CrossFit Winter Weightlifting championship and finished 17th out of 90 participants in the Carolina Fitness Challenge in December 2009.

Patrick has been5 (1) a highly competitive athlete since a young age. He trained on a Gymnastics Olympic Development team until the age of 14. While attending Hereford high school Patrick was a member of the state champion football (1997) and lacrosse (1996) teams. As a highly competitive wrestler Patrick was the 1994 Baltimore County Champion, 1998 Baltimore County Champion, and 1998 North R
egion Champion and finished in the top 5 wrestlers at both the 1997 and 1998 Maryland State Wrestling Championships. As a lacrosse player Patrick was selected to the Maryland St
ate All Star Team, the Baltimore County All Star Team, and was an alternate for the Bay State Team. While at Washington College, Patrick played lacrosse at the NCAA Division III level then completed United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in 2001 and graduated #33 out of 250.
