If you’re like me, there’s nothing you hate more than putting in a ton of energy, plus hours and hours of hard work at a time in the gym to only achieve less than par results.

So, let me tell you more about the little “experiment” I put these test subjects through…

These guys trained using 6 different types of unique training sessions per week.

I had them follow a special eating plan that consisted of carbs, lean proteins, veggies, and fat, but specifically had them rotate around their meals with “high” days, “low” days, and “no” days that intertwined a strict specifically designed Paleo-like diet the rest of the way.

They alternated between three types of workouts – heavy/strength days, high intensity cardio days, and power/muscle training days.

With that, I had them mix reps up according to the movements and days they were doing. They lifted heavy, they lifted for power, and they lifted for volume and speed. Front Squats, Push Presses, Snatches, Cleans, and Clean and Presses plus different kinds of metabolic resistance training circuits and complexes. I also had them blend in tons of bodyweight movements as well.

This is EXACTLY how these guys rapidlly gained strength, built more power, added muscle and shredded up their bodies…

But don’t worry, you won’t have to do all that as these guys specifically did…. I’ve made it quite simpler for you. (Honestly speaking, that’s not a lot to do for a short period of time anyhow.)

The good news is that this “experiment” requires that you train only with bodyweight, dumbbells, and barbells for the next 28 days just like the guys I was telling you about. The workouts will only take you 40-45 mins, that’s including the warm up if you do them correctly with the right type of pace and intensity…

So what was it that pushed me to create such a quick, but yet highly effective 28 day program?

Well, let me share a quick story with you on how I created this program…

You see, I’m a highly unconventional type of guy when it comes to training. I love to push the envelope a bit and train against the grain. I hate sitting in a machine and going about with typical bodybuilder routines.

I would know as I trained like a bodybuilder for about 2 years…

After I got out of college and was through playing football, I started to train more specifically like a bodybuilder… You know, the old “chest on monday, quads on tuesdays, arms and back on wednesdays, yadda, yadda, yadda…”

That stuff got old quick and to top it off, I was starting to feel like I was stripping away my athletic abilities…

It didn’t sit right with me…

While I did look and feel good, I felt like I was losing strength, power, and conditioning and for me, this did not feel right! Being an ex-athlete, I just never really wanted to lose that “athleticism” as I wanted to feel fast, explosive, mobile and agile.

When I would train specifically like a bodybuilder, I felt slower, more immobile, and un-athletic.

But, at the time I thought that training more specifically like a bodybuilder was going to get me bigger, stronger, and leaner…

I just felt like something was missing…

I’m an athlete at heart and with that, I need to be out moving around and training like an athlete. Not like some HUGE muscle bound bodybuilder…

At the time, the way I was training wasn’t doing me any good…

So after trying the whole bodybuilder thing for about 2 years, I said enough and I went back to my roots and started training specifically like an athlete.

Even though I wasn’t competing in sports any longer, I wanted to train as if I was.

Well, I made the right decision to go back and to make things even better, I started to incorporate various types of odd object lifting into my training programs as well.

No worries, You won’t be needing any of this type of equipment! Stones sure are bad ass though!

After I went to that type of training, my body started to change rapidly! I started to feel stronger, more explosive and athletic!

When I saw what types of results I could get by training this way, I put together a whole system that blended together all the different types of unconventional means of training I was doing.

That whole time, I was neglecting what I had always known to work…

…and since I switched back to training like a true athlete, I’ve discovered how to maximize the bodies abilities to gaining muscle, building strength, and getting lean all at the same time!

If I had stuck to training like your typical bodybuilder like I was doing, by now I’d probably have lost a ton of my desire and drive to train as I do today!

In my experience of building a fast, strong, and athletic physique, there are “6 Athletic Principles” you must follow in order to transform into a lean and mean monster.

Athletic Principle #1 – Mind Preparation

Just like the top athletes in the world do before they compete, in order to start to achieve the results you want with any training program, it’s absolutely critical you go into battle with the right mindset.

In order for you to reach your ultimate physique and true potential, you must go through a total mind shift in terms of seeing your actual self achieving this goal before it even starts.

If you don’t believe within yourself that you can achieve the physique and look you so desire, you will FAIL!

Apart of the key mental preparation you must go through, there are critical steps you must take to begin your journey which all start with developing and defining a clear cut goal. Once this goal is chosen, it’s then important to choose a date when to begin your journey and then stick to the plan.

Without a plan, you plan to fail!

5 mins of just running will not cut it if you want to build a head turning physique that not only looks athletic, but is athletic as well!

Athletic Principle #3 – Strategic Training Days

If you didn’t know, there are many different types of workouts that are designed for different things.

Certain workouts will yield certain results…

  • workouts that burn fat…
  • workouts that build more muscle…
  • workouts that increase explosive athleticism and power…
  • plus workouts that gain pure brute strength

Volume is needed in order to help your muscles grow. When you supply your muscles with the right amount of volume at the right times, you’ll get explosive gains.

  • Recovery Conditioning Now, what many serious lifters neglect all too much is proper recovery methods.Most serious lifters get the part of intense training down perfect however, they fail to allow the body to properly recover.

The truth is, your body only grows stronger and bigger while at rest so, if you do is train to train hard day in and day out, you’ll give your body no time to rest and grow! Even worse, if you continue to beat your body down, you’ll end up over-training yourself and eventually just start going backwards with your progress.

Now, when it comes to recovery, there’s an “OK” way of doing it and a highly effective way of doing it.

A) You can simply rest by sitting around on the couch actually making the recovery process take longer…

This is “OK”… OR…

B) You can use specific “recovery conditioning” workouts that are specially designed to keep your body moving to help speed the recovery process up faster.The recovery conditioning workouts that I’ve created are designed to keep you actively recovery but at the same time, work on your overall conditioning as well. Their strategically placed within the 28 Day program to maximize their effect.

Who would have thought… Workout to recover??? It’s possible and highly effective!

Bottom Line – without proper and strategic rest, you will NOT achieve the gains you are truly potentially capable of.

Athletic Principle #4 – Specialized Athletic Movements Only

Now, pick up any muscle building magazine and you’ll see tons of articles inside that show you how to perform exercises. Usually, there’s an article in there that contains different programs and what not as well.

The issue is that even if you know about every exercise there is to know about when it comes to building more muscle and getting shredded all at once, you’ve got to know how to use them.

Each and every movement and exercise selected in The 28 Day Athletic Muscle Formula was strategically picked for it’s effectiveness for building up more power, strength, and muscle.

In fact, if you’re trying to lose precious muscle and strength in sacrifice of getting lean, go right ahead and be my guest because that’s exactly what will happen if you do the old no carb, no fat, high protein “bodybuilder’s diet”…

What I was able discovered over my many years of testing and tweaking tons of different combinations of certain diets and philosophies of eating was that there was a unique way to set up a meal plan to perfectly match up with the training days I created within this program.

I specifically implemented a unique blend of no, low, and high “re-charge” carb days that proved to get the body’s metabolism burning on HIGH to target in on some serious fat burn. At the same time, I manipulated the intake of healthy fats to help keep the body in check.
